2020 Scholarship Testing

Bishop William Tyrrell, in whose honour the College was named, was a strong advocate for quality and accessible education. This philosophy remains core, and we are proud to offer a number of scholarships to eligible students.

In 2020, scholarships will be open to current Bishop Tyrrell students as well as external applicants*, and will be offered for the following year groups:

Primary Academic Scholarships

  • Students entering Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6 in 2020

Secondary Academic Scholarships

  • Students entering Year 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 in 2020

Merit Scholarships

In addition to the Academic Scholarships, the College will also be offering Merit Scholarships in the following fields: Sporting, Creative Arts (Music, Drama, Dance and Visual Arts). Students who wish to be considered for a Merit based Scholarship will be required to register for and sit the Academic Testing on the 2nd May, 2019, in addition to meeting further criteria.  For further information on the requirements of these Scholarships, or to register your application for a Merit Scholarship, please contact the Registrar directly on registrar@btac.nsw.edu.au.

In addition, bursaries are occasionally offered to families who would not otherwise be able to attend Bishop Tyrrell due to financial circumstances.

*Please note: external applicants are not required to submit an enrolment application prior to the testing. If the student is successful in obtaining a Scholarship the enrolment application can then be submitted.
