All Rounder Scholarships

Eligibility for an All-Rounder Scholarship at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is based on a combination of academic achievement, arts involvement, community service, sports participation, Anglican faith commitment, and leadership qualities. The Scholarship Committee carefully evaluates each application to select deserving recipients who embody the values of learning, leadership, and service upheld by the school and wider community.

To apply, students will need to provide the following:

  1. Personal Statement: Applicants are required to submit a personal statement or essay to the Principal outlining why they wish to be educated at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College. It should also outline their achievements, goals, aspirations, and reasons for applying for the scholarship. Students must address a minimum of three of the All Rounder Scholarship criteria found below.
  2. Letters of Recommendation: Applicants may supply no more than three supporting letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or other individuals familiar with the student’s character and achievements is required. These letters can provide additional insight into the applicant’s strengths and contributions.
  3. Academic reports: Upload your last four academic reports, NAPLAN results and any academic awards received by the applicant.
  4. Interview: Applicants will be required to participate in an interview to further assess their suitability for the scholarship. This interview may focus on their achievements, leadership experiences, and alignment with College values
All Rounder Scholarship Criteria
Academic Achievement: Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and a commitment to excellence in their studies. This may include outstanding grades, participation in advanced coursework or academic competitions, and recognition for academic achievements.
Arts: Applicants must showcase talent and dedication in one or more areas of the arts, such as music and visual arts. This may include participation in school productions, music ensembles, art exhibitions, or external performances.
Community Service: Students must actively engage in community service initiatives and demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in their community. This may include volunteering, fundraising, participating in service projects, or leadership roles in community organisations.
Sport: Applicants must excel in one or more sports and demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. This may include participation in school sports teams, achievements in regional or national competitions, and involvement in sports-related leadership roles.
Anglican Faith: Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Anglican faith and actively participate in religious activities and events within the school community. This may include involvement in chapel services, religious education programs, or service projects aligned with Anglican values.
Leadership: Applicants must exhibit leadership qualities and demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate others. This may include serving in leadership roles within the school community as well as involvement in leadership development programs or initiatives external to the College.
