Our Valedictory Assembly was a heartfelt and joyful celebration of the Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College Class of 2025, marking both the conclusion of their school journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter beyond the College gates.
The morning opened with an inspiring final address from our Head of Senior School, Mr Mitchell Cummings, who spoke about the growth, resilience and character shown by this cohort throughout their senior years. His words encouraged students to reflect not only on their academic achievements, but on the values, friendships and life skills they have developed during their time at BTAC.
Families, staff and students then enjoyed a moving video recap of the Class of 2025’s journey, showcasing special moments from across their schooling. For many students, this reflection was particularly meaningful, as they have been part of the Bishop Tyrrell community since Kindergarten, growing up alongside classmates and staff who have supported them every step of the way.
Year 12 students were proudly presented with their graduation certificates, along with a number of academic awards recognising outstanding results, dedication to learning and a strong commitment to their studies. A special highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of College Dux to Reshma Rajeev, acknowledging her exceptional academic achievements and consistent dedication throughout the year.
The assembly also featured a beautiful final musical performance by graduating student Aleisha Sinclair, whose talent and confidence shone as she performed for her peers, teachers and families one last time. Her performance was a poignant moment of reflection, capturing the emotion of the occasion and providing a fitting farewell from a student who has contributed so richly to the life of the College.
The celebration concluded with one of our most cherished traditions — the Walk Out. As the final bell of their schooling journey approached, the Class of 2025 were escorted through the College, lined by our Preschool to Year 11 students and all staff. With bubbles floating through the air, streamers waving and smiles mixed with emotion, our community came together to offer their final goodbyes and words of encouragement. This powerful and joyful moment was a true reflection of the deep sense of community, connection and belonging that defines Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College.
We are incredibly proud of our graduating students and wish the Class of 2025 every success as they prepare for their HSC examinations and embrace the many opportunities that lie ahead.
