The Last Friday of term 2, saw our school term wrapped up on the most melodious note as we turned up the volume and brought down the house at the electrifying 11th Annual BTAC House Music Challenge. From the moment the first note echoed through the hall to the final curtain call, it was a musical fiesta that left us all grooving and grinning.

With a lineup that spanned decades of hits, the air was charged with an undeniable energy. The classics of Mamma Mia and Grease had us time-traveling to retro dance floors, while the modern rhythms of High School Musical and Tina Turner the Musical brought out our inner dancing divas and rockstars. The diversity of the music showcased the incredible range of our performers and made sure there was something for everyone to tap their feet to.

Our stage was graced by the awe-inspiring talents from Currey, Fletcher, Darcy, and Thomas Houses. These young musicians didn’t just sing; they transported us through eras and emotions with their voices. Their passion for music was palpable, reminding us once again of the universal language that unites us all.

The competition was nothing short of fierce, with each house delivering jaw-dropping performances that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The amount of dedication, practice, and heart that these students put into their acts was truly remarkable. From mesmerizing solos to harmonious ensembles, every act painted a unique and colourful stroke on the canvas of the stage.

And now, drumroll please… After an intense showdown that had us all cheering and clapping, it’s with great excitement that we announce Currey House as the reigning champions of the Music Challenge! Their performance left an indelible mark on everyone lucky enough to witness it. From their pitch-perfect vocals to their energetic choreography, they embodied the spirit of the competition and took it to new heights.

A big, heartfelt congratulations to all  students who participated! Your dedication and hard work paid off in the grandest way possible. You owned the stage!
