How to Enrol
Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College is a co-educational independent school that offers children the opportunity to complete their entire education journey (Preschool to Year 12) on the one campus. We accept applications from students in all year levels.
Step 1 – Application for Enrolment
To apply for enrolment at Bishop Tyrrell, please complete an Application for Enrolment form and return to the College with the relevant documentation and application fee. This can be done online or you can fax or post the application form to +61 2 4979 8485 or PO Box 294, Wallsend NSW, 2287.
Non refundable Application fee - K-12 Enrolments: $110, Preschool Enrolments: $55
- Child’s birth certificate
- Immunisation record
- Recent school reports (where applicable)
- NAPLAN test results (where applicable)
Step 2 – Entry Assessments
Preschool – no further assessment required
Kindergarten to Year 2 – skills based assessment (coordination, pattern recognition, identifications skills)
Years 3 to 5 – 40-minute online comprehension (English) test
Years 6 to 11 –online comprehension, maths and AGAT (general ability) testing.
Step 3 – Interview
Upon receipt of the application, an interview with the Deputy of Primary or Deputy Principal will be arranged at a mutually agreeable time.
Step 4 – Letter of Offer
Following a successful interview, students who have been accepted to the College will be mailed a Letter of Offer.
Step 5 – Acceptance of Place
To accept a place, the relevant enrolment documentation requested by the College must be completed and returned together with a non-refundable Enrolment deposit Fee. Please note, an enrolment is not secured until the required documentation and Enrolment deposit Fee has been received by the College.
Enrolment deposit Fee - $750 (first child) and $250 (second child and for each subsequent child)
