Casual Teachers Expression of Interest

We are seeking an expression of interest from talented and experienced Primary and Secondary Teachers to join our teaching team in a casual capacity.

Information for Applicants

Please ensure that your application for our advertised teaching jobs in Newcastle addresses all selection criteria.

All applications need to include:
  • A CV containing relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in the area of teaching
  • Three professional referees
Applicants must have the following:
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current registration to teach in NSW
  • Acceptable working VISA (overseas applicants only)
  • An academic transcript and practicum reports (if new graduate)

Casual Employment

If you’d like to join our casual teaching staff, you should be a professional, passionate educator who meets the following criteria.

  • Hardworking and enthusiastic with excellent subject matter knowledge
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, other educators, parents, and support classroom teachers to assist all students to reach their full potential
  • A proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into your teaching practice and passionate about classroom innovation
  • Sound knowledge of the NESA syllabus outcomes for primary or secondary education.
  • Understand and committed to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching
  • Ability to create a vibrant, friendly, cheerful learning environment
  • Proven history as a lifelong learner and possess a genuine desire for self-improvement
  • A passion for student wellbeing
  • Ability to collaboratively work within a professional learning team
