OOSH & Vacation Care

Making family and work commitments easier

We know how important it is to have care you can trust while balancing the demands of work and family life. That’s why we offer before and after school care and vacation care for students from Preschool to Year 6, right here on campus, for added convenience.

At BTAC OOSH, children are welcomed into a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where they can play, explore, create and let their imaginations flourish. It’s a place to feel safe, make friends and enjoy time with peers across the primary years, supported by our caring and friendly staff.

Our OOSH service is registered with the Australian Government, and eligible families may be able to access the Child Care Subsidy. This subsidy is paid directly to the service and helps to reduce your out-of-pocket fees.

 

FAQs - OOSH & Vacation Care

Preschool Hours:

  • Before school care: 6.30am – 8.00am
  • After school care: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Vacation care: 7.00am – 6.00pm

Kindergarten – Year 6 Hours:

  • Before school care: 6.30am – 8.30am
  • After school care: 3.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Vacation care: 7.00am – 6.00pm

Preschool

  • Before school care: Permanent $22/casual $27
  • After school care: Permanent $32/casual $37
  • Vacation Care: In-centre $75/incursions $85

Kindergarten to Year 6 

  • Before school care: Permanent $27/casual $32
  • After school care: Permanent $37/casual $42
  • Vacation care: In-centre $85/excursions, incursions $75

Preschool

  • Before school care: Students are to be dropped at the primary building and will be walked over to the preschool by an OOSH staff member at 8am.
  • After school care: Preschool students will remain at the preschool building.

Kindergarten to Year 6 

  • Before school care: After our OOSH staff have confirmed a teacher is on playground duty, children can go play and prepare for the school day. In Term 1, Kindergarten students are walked to their playground/classroom areas.
  • After school care: Students come straight down to the OOSH Room, where all children are signed in and accounted for. In Term 1, OOSH staff collect Kindies from the class meeting point to help them settle into the new routine and environment.

Our vacation care program is released via email to parents and guardians of enrolled students two weeks before each holiday period. You can also ask to see our vacation care program at our OOSH centre.


Children going into Kindergarten can attend vacation care in the January school holidays before they start school. This is a great opportunity for them to become familiar with the college environment and socialise with other children coming to the school.

Breakfast

Toast and cereal options are provided between 6.30 am and 8 am.

Afternoon Tea

Fruit platters and a range of snacks, including corn chips, rice cakes, vegetable sticks, muesli bars, and crackers are provided after school.

Vacation care

Families are asked to pack morning tea and lunches. Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided unless noted otherwise on the program.

Children can be enrolled permanently or on a casual basis. Please click here to enrol your child.

If you just want to use OOSH casually, you don’t need a permanent ongoing booking. Simply contact the team to book in before 1pm on any day. Please note this is subject to spaces being available.
