  • We prioritise each student’s social, emotional and spiritual development, fostering spirit, self-awareness and positive relationships through dedicated pastoral care and the guidance of our Deans of Year, School Counsellor, Chaplain and Head of School.
  • Students are provided with meaningful opportunities to explore and develop leadership skills through community service, mentoring, student representation and confidence-building initiatives.

Ensuring a connected and supportive journey through Middle School, helping students transition confidently from Junior to Senior School while developing independence, spirit and a love for learning

Leadership, mentoring and co-curricular opportunities

Middle School students are offered a range of leadership opportunities and mentoring programs, including the Year 5 Buddy Program with Kindergarten students and formal leadership roles in Year 8.

Co-curricular activities, performing arts, sports (both individual and representative teams), debating, Tournament of Minds, and the da Vinci Decathlon allow students to explore interests, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork skills.

Specialist lessons, STEM and enrichment programs

Students benefit from specialist lessons, including STEM and Music, and engage in the Biriban program which offers highly engaging learning opportunities driven by student choice. These experiences encourage critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and independent problem-solving.

Preparing for the next stage

Through these experiences, Middle School students develop resilience, curiosity and a love of learning, while strong pastoral support and coordinated transitions with Junior and Senior School ensure they are well-prepared academically, socially and emotionally for the years ahead.
