Health benefits aside, sport has a significant impact on a child's education. From developing motor skills, to learning about teamwork and loyalty, sport is an essential component in schooling.

At Bishop Tyrrell, students have the opportunity to participate in:

Students from Year 2 represent the College as part of the Hunter Region Independent Schools association. 

Primary K-6

Students participate in Physical Education lessons with a specialist teacher every week. These classes focus on developing Fundamental Movement Skills. Students also engage in additional Sport lessons with teachers and external providers. Sport activities may include:

As we are part of the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Sports Association for New South Wales, students who excel in other Sports not listed can still attain higher school sport representative honours via attending the independent CIS Sport trials.
