Primary School

Students in Kindergarten to Year 6 learn, lead and serve in a nurturing and supportive Christian environment.

We know each child by name, and they are cared for as individuals in our school. We help them to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Primary School students benefit from a dedicated classroom teacher who can support their educational and personal needs.

Knowing they are valued and cared for, our Primary School students thrive throughout the journey and are well-prepared for the high school years.

At Bishop Tyrrell, learning experiences are diverse and interesting. We believe every student can find something they are passionate about and they are given the opportunity to excel in these things. Our Primary education program is designed to be the foundation of a lifelong love of learning.

The Primary School is located in the Broughton, Pearson and Housden buildings. Each area of the College has an allocated play area, though interaction between the year groups is encouraged at times.

All students can benefit from the College’s many facilities and amenities.

Most Primary School bell times align with Secondary, with the Primary School day ending at 3:00pm.
